PRAYER

The 9:30 mass this morning was said by Father Soto, a Franciscan Priest who has his roots in the lower east side of New York. He has been a Navy Chaplin and is here in Florida temporarily. The sermon was a teaching sermon whose theme was prayer. He gave us a short prayer which we can say every day and several times a day. It is......."Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us." Even in this busy world we live in, we are able to say this several times a day. I am going to try to do this. I recommend it to all of you.

AMY IS CHRISTENED

Eileen, Tom, Conner and Amy came down to Dunedin arriving at 4am on September 2nd. They drove straight thru, all night, from Virginia. It took them about 14 hours. The went the inland route to avoid rain along the coast. Needless to say, they were exhausted when they arrived. On Sunday, September 3rd, we took Amy to Our Lady of Lourdes to be Christened. Dan and Dawn were the Godparents. Amy was great, smiling all the way through the ceremony. Even when the water was poured on her head. After the ceremony we all went to Dan and Dawns home for some lunch. We had a really nice visit. Toms' Grandfather and Mother came to the Christening and to Dans.
Eileen and Tom and the children stayed for the week. They had a really nice visit. Most mornings they went to the beach at Honeymoon Island. Conner really enjoyed the sand and the water. He even had his own beach chair. In the afternoons they either went to visit Toms' family in Tampa or went to either Joe or Dans pool. They had a relaxing time with no pressures on them. The weather was great, hot but great.
Conner was a bundle of energy. He loved being around his cousins. He had a lot of toys and cars to play with and it kept him busy.
Amy was a tiny bundle of joy. She was happy and smiling all the time.
They left to go home on Friday about 2pm and drove all the way through. This time, they went all the way on 95 and it was a little quicker.
Mom and I really enjoyed their visit, as we enjoy all of your visits. We are looking foward to seeing all of you soon. Love you all.....
