BACK AGAIN

It has been a long time since our last post. All was going along normally until the middle of April, when both Mom and I had some health problems. I developed a duodenal ulser. It was caused by the two asperin I was taking every day. I had to be hospitalized for two days and given two units of blood. The ulser is all cleared up now. Mom was diagnosed with having breast cancer. She underwent a series of tests and she was operated on April 30th. It was diagnosed early and it had not spread. She does not have to take kimo therapy or radiation treatments. She is taking a series of pills. She has bounced back and is doing everything that she was doing before. Maybe there is something to all those vitamins and herbs that she takes. During our incapacition, we had pleanty of help as JoAnn, Mary, Jean, Marge, Bren and Eileen were able to spend some time with us to help out. Of course, the locals, Joe, Lisa, Dan, Dawn and Matt and their children were a tremendous help as usual.
Now the summer is on us and the heat is in the 90's everyday and the thunderstorms are everpreasent. Bren, Jana and the kids were down for 5 days. They stayed at the beach and had a good time. Mickey, Becky and the boys will be coming in next week.
Eileen is back in the Coast Guard now as a Lt.Commander. Brian spent a week at the Air Force Acadamy. He hopes to be able to go there next year. Christi has moved to New York City. She is living in Brooklyn. She spent a year working in Seattle. She is a graduate of James Mason University with a cum laude degree in Architecture.
She is looking for a job. All help from you New Yorkers would be gratefully recieved.
