2008 National Elections
Next Tuesday is Election Day. Perhaps the most important and the last election of my life. I know that many of you will not agree with me, but I feel so strongly about this election that I could not pass this opportunity to let you know my feeling.
First, let me state that I do not believe the rhetoric of either candidate. The promises and the programs proposed by both candidtes will come to a sharp halt when the reality of of the office settles in. So how did I make my choice.
Barack Obama is a spellbinder. If I would close my eyes and just listen to his speaches, he would be my choice. Rarely has a person with his ability to speak come along. He promises everything to everybody. But who is Barack Obama. Where did he come from. Two years ago no one had heard of him. You look for his past accomplishments and they are nowhere to be found. He was elected to the U.S.Senate by an all powerfull Illinois Democratic political party and since his election he has rarely been in attendnce at the Senate. He has not represented the people of Illinois who he promised to represent, He has not tried to pass any of his promises while he was a Senator. His past associations have also been troubling to me.
John McCain is not an accomplished campaigner but he has a record of accomplishments.
His service as a Navy Pilot was exempliary. During his 22 years as a Senator he has always fought for what he thinks is right, even when it has been going against his own party. His one objective has always been to make a better United Srates. I agree with his stand against abortion. I believe that Life begins at conception.
So my vote goes to John McCain for a stronger and better United States.
